Most Apparel Brands Don’t Fail
Because of Bad Design

Most of them do not fail because their designs were wrong. They fail because their manufacturer failed them. The problems are consistent and well-documented by anyone who has sourced from overseas factories.

We built AJ Apparel International because we understood these problems from the inside. We knew what a manufacturer needed to do differently — and we built the infrastructure, the compliance systems, and the commercial structure to do exactly that.

WHO WE ARE

A US-Registered
Custom Apparel Manufacturer
With Vertically Integrated
Production

AJ Apparel International is a custom apparel manufacturer operating at the intersection of Asian production efficiency and Western business accountability.

We are registered as a US LLC, which means every contract, invoice, and commercial agreement you sign is with a US legal entity. You get a domestic counterpart for your manufacturing relationships — USD invoicing, US-standard contracts, and a single point of contact who operates on your timezone, speaks your commercial language, and is accountable under your legal system.

Our production is handled through a vertically integrated knitwear manufacturing facility — meaning we control the full production chain under one roof. Yarn sourcing. Knitting. Cutting. Sewing. Finishing. Quality control. Packaging. There are no subcontractors involved in your order. There are no third parties responsible for a stage of your production that we cannot see or control. When you approve a sample with us, the same machines, the same fabrics, and the same team produce your bulk order.

This is not how most manufacturers operate. Most factories subcontract stages of production to external vendors they do not fully control. This is where quality breaks down. This is where lead times collapse. This is where the bulk shipment stops matching the sample.

PRODUCTION HISTORY
Built on a Decade of Supplying
Established Retail Brands
Our production facility has supplied major UK and US retail brands across the full range of knitwear and apparel categories — hoodies, sweatshirts, French terry tracksuits, polo shirts, heavyweight t-shirts, co-ord sets, jogger sets, and fleece garments across cotton, brushed, and technical constructions. These are not sample relationships or one-off orders. These are repeat production programmes — seasonal collections produced consistently, order after order, to the same specification, the same quality standard, and the same finishing detail that the brand approved on day one. That production history matters for your brand for one specific reason: consistency. Any factory can produce a good sample. The measure of a manufacturer is whether the fifth bulk order looks identical to the first. Whether the garment your customer buys in your third season is built to the same standard as the garment that launched your brand. Our systems are designed around repeat production consistency. When your sample is approved and your first bulk order is delivered, that production standard is locked permanently. Every reorder is matched to the same fabric specification, the same construction method, the same finishing standard. Your customers will never be able to tell which season a garment was produced in — because the quality does not change. This production consistency is what separates a manufacturing partner from a supplier. It is also why established brands choose to consolidate production with us once they experience the first order. As a knitwear manufacturer for brands operating at retail scale, our facility has developed the technical depth to handle complex construction requirements — from multi-component co-ord sets with matching fabric weights across pieces, to heavyweight oversized t-shirts with precise neck construction, to brushed fleece hoodies with consistent pile depth across large production runs

CERTIFICATIONS

Ethical and Sustainable Apparel Manufacturing — Compliance Built In, Not Bolted On

Most manufacturers pursue certifications reactively — after a buyer demands them, after an audit flags a gap, after a compliance failure costs them a contract. Certifications treated this way are administrative exercises. They do not reflect how the facility actually operates. We built our compliance infrastructure differently. Our certifications were pursued proactively, built into our production systems from the ground up, and maintained through active programmes rather than annual box-ticking.

US LLC STRUCTURE –

Why Our US-Registered Structure Protects your Brand

When brands source directly from overseas manufacturers, they absorb all of the commercial and legal risk of the relationship. Contracts are governed by foreign law. Disputes are expensive and difficult to resolve. Communication stops when it becomes inconvenient for the factory. Invoicing happens in foreign currencies with payment terms that favour the manufacturer, not the buyer. The brand has limited recourse when things go wrong.

This is the standard commercial structure of overseas apparel manufacturing — and it is a structure that systematically disadvantages the buyer.

AJ Apparel International was structured specifically to eliminate these disadvantages. Every client relationship is managed through our US LLC entity — AJ Apparel International LLC. Every contract is a US contract, governed by US commercial law, with USD invoicing and payment terms structured for the buyer's commercial cycle. Every commercial dispute has a clear legal framework and a US-based counterpart.

For US-based apparel brands, this means working with a manufacturer that operates like a domestic supplier — with the pricing advantage of Asian production. For UK and international brands, it means a US commercial counterpart with verified compliance credentials, straightforward USD invoicing, and none of the communication or accountability gaps that define direct factory relationships.

This structure also matters for your brand's supply chain documentation. When you need to demonstrate to a retail buyer, an investor, or an auditor that your manufacturing partner is a verified, compliant, accountable business — AJ Apparel International LLC provides that documentation cleanly.

40-DAY PRODUCTION SYSTEM

How We Deliver in 40 Days — Every Order, Every Season

Most apparel brands have been told that quality manufacturing takes 90 days. It does not. Ninety-day lead times are the result of poor production planning, subcontracted stages, and factories that overbook capacity and manage delivery dates reactively. Our 40-Day Production System was designed to eliminate every structural cause of extended lead times.

step 1 - submit your brief icon
Step 2 - Pricing in 48 hours
Step 3 - Lock your production standard
Step 4 - Bulk production begins
Step 5 - Your production standard is locked

Step 1 — Submit Your Brief (Day 0)

Share your tech pack, a reference garment, or a written description of what you need. Include target fabric, weight, colour, and branding requirements. No formal document required to get started.

Step 2 — Pricing in 48 Hours (Day 1-2)

We review your brief and respond within 48 hours with unit pricing, lead time confirmation, and sample cost. No waiting three weeks for a quote.

Step 3 — Lock Your Production Standard (Day 7)

Your sample is produced on the same machines, with the same fabrics, using the same construction as your bulk order — eliminating the number one risk in apparel manufacturing: bulk mismatch. What you approve is exactly what you receive at scale.

Step 4 — Bulk Production Begins Immediately (Day 8-37)

Once your sample is approved, bulk production starts immediately. Your order is delivered within 40 days by air or sea depending on your timeline and budget.

Step 5 — Your Production Standard is Locked Forever

Every approved sample becomes your permanent production standard. Repeat orders match your original exactly — same fabric weight, same construction, same finish. Season after season.
